As I begin to reflect on my own daughter's transformation from infant to toddler, and now watch her as she takes those first few bold steps into childhood (at 3 and change, she's far more kid than she is baby), Gary Kamiya's article in Salon today was a homerun.
My favorite line:
You go to bed and your kids are fungal life forms; you wake up and they're reading Faulkner.
