So, I've (finally) started a project with actual work and deadlines involved.
(you may recall from earlier episodes that I'm a bit of a spaz about my career. I am a gigantic dork and really love the work I do.)
In the midst of a slow period at work, I seem to have lost my "on deadline" playlist.
Any thoughts on good songs you would enjoy while working on a deadline (play along; pretend you like working on deadline.)

oh, i like this. what i would want to listen to while working on a deadline: songs that are peppy, but not distracting; ones that would keep a positive flow of energy, but with just a touch of frustrated melancholy, because, damn, you're working. like:
1. ted leo & the pharmacists-"counting down the hours" (shake the sheets)
2. the decemberists-"here i dreamt i was an architect" (castaways and cutouts)
3. haley bonar-"ransom" (lure the fox)
4. matt pond pa-"so much trouble" (several arrows later)
and for when you finish (triumphantly!)
